HISTORY

I'm Aida.

I grew up surrounded by fishing nets, ropes, knots and the sea.

My grandfather was a fisherman. My grandmother, Trini, wove the fishing nets for her boat with infinite patience. I inherited that skill from her. The respect for time and the way of creating shapes, knot by knot.

Without knowing it, that's where it all began.

Years later I studied Marine Science and Technology, where I discovered the structural beauty of species such as nudibranchs, organic forms, natural patterns and the intimate relationship between matter, form and function.

That scientific perspective and that family memory coexist in my designs today.

ALÚ ALÚ was born after an initial phase under the name Inirt Atelier, a tribute to my grandmother Trini. Over time, I felt the need to evolve towards a more personal, more conceptual, freer language.

That's how ALÚ came about, a play on the letters of my last name.

And ALÚ ALÚ because this project has always been a two-person thing: my mother and me.

Our bags are not born from fashion, but from form.
From observation.
From design as research.

We work with haute couture fabrics that we transform into structured, functional and timeless pieces, always respecting our philosophy of being free of animal fur and deeply connected with the sea.

Each piece is a dialogue between tradition, science, and contemporary design.
Between family memory and artistic vision.

Between the sea and the footbridge.
